Meal Makeovers Moms Coming to Wellesley

Healthy Habits Kitchen (www.healthyhabitskitchen.com), a company dedicated to helping busy families eat healthy,  announced that Liz Weiss, MS, RD of the Meal Makeover Moms will be hosting a workshop and dinner at their facility on March 15, 2012 from 7 – 8:30 pm.

Weiss, who is an award-winning broadcast journalist, speaker, and spokesperson as well as the co-author of the cookbook, No Whine with Dinner (M3 Press, 2011), will be teaching area moms her little-known Meal Makeover Secrets, secrets that have helped thousands of families to transform mealtime by incorporating mealtime changes slowly over time. On March 15, Weiss will teach attendees the following.

  • How to streamline time in the kitchen
  • Easy ways to get more veggies on the table
  • Why putting fruit first at breakfast is beneficial
  • How to boost Omega-3’s, choose calcium rich foods and reduce sodium
  • Smart snacking

March is Music in our Schools Month! Join us this week and next for this annual showcase of talented musicians from Wellesley schools. Named after Sandra Nicolucci, who was Director of Performing Arts in the Wellesley Public Schools for over 15 years, performers are individual students from the Wellesley Public School music extension program and other small music groups organized through the Performing Arts Department. Free and open to the public.
