The Annual Dinner and Golf Tournament

The Wellesley Historical Society’s 2010 Annual Dinner and Golf Tournament will be held on Sunday, June 13 and Monday, June 14. More information is to follow.

“An Afternoon with Louisa May Alcott”

Jan Turnquist, Executive Director of the Orchard House Museum in Concord, will present her interpretation of the life of Louisa May Alcott.  Alcott, best known for her classic novel Little Women, was a member of one of the most remarkable families in New England history and was a friend of many other leading authors of her day.  The event will take place on Sunday, May 16th at 3:00 pm at the Wellesley Main Library.


 

 

“Paul Revere and the Industrial Revolution”

In  honor of Patriot’s Day, Robert Martello, professor of the history of science and technology at Olin College, will discuss Paul Revere’s role in American history as both a patriot and a pioneer of the Industrial Revolution.  The event will take place on Sunday, April 11th at 2:00 pm at the Wellesley Main Library.
